Acknowledge and admit you have acted wrongly against God's laws. Ask yourself, “Am I good person?” Take the Good Test . Man has a sinful nature and because of this he is separated from a Holy God. This means he cannot know or feel God’s Love and he cannot understand God’s plan for his life.
The Holy Bible says: “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Therefore man is separated from God’s fellowship. According to God’s spiritual law, the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). It is not physical death, but it is spiritual death; permanent separation from God; eternal torment. Man cannot do anything to fix this by himself and as a result, every man needs a redeemer!
Turn away from your sin and feel honest regret for your wrong doings and admit your mistakes. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1John 1:9)
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
Please do your best not to repeat those mistakes...
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto the Lord...for He will abundantly pardon. (Isaiah 55:7)
Believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is GOD and that He died in our place. Remember, the Bible says that the wages of sin is death. The Bible also tells us that Jesus Christ is God's ONLY provision for man's sin. Through Him you can know and experience God's love, amazing peace and wonderful plan for your life. That’s why the Bible says: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned (Mark 16:16).
He is the only way to God. Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.' (John 14:6).
The only way to get past your sin and become right with God is to simply believe in Christ Jesus and follow Him. All you have to do is ask Him to help you and He will, just like a wonderful Father, and lead you to eternal Life with peace with Him.
Receive - ask Him to be a part of your life. You can be confident that you will receive the peace of heart and awesome joy that comes with believing (STEP 3 ). When you receive Him as your Savior, you can talk to Him like your Friend or your Father, He wants such a relationship from you. He expects nothing from us but asks us to receive His as Savior and Lord. It doesn’t matter what your life was like. He will take you just the way you are. He loves you because He is your own true Creator and loving Heavenly Father. It is because of His love that He died in your place. This is TRUE HOLY LOVE.
He came unto His own, and His own received him not. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to those that believe on His name. (John 1:11, 12) The next step shows how we can talk with Him. It’s very simple!
Surrender is not an easy word, but it is necessary to received God as Savior and Lord. Surrender starts with a confession that we are sinners who need a Savior. You might surrender to God by saying something like the following prayer, “God, I am a sinner. I ask you to forgive me of my sins. I believe in my heart, and confess with my lips, that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. Come into my heart Jesus. Take my life, I surrender it to you. From this moment on, I will live my life according to the Bible and serve you. Thank you for taking away my sins and giving me everlasting life. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.”
According to Holy Bible, you will find new life and receive peace in your heart. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17).
If you have followed each of the above steps, and you have prayed that prayer in Step 5 from your heart then you are now a follower of Jesus Christ. However, these steps are just the start. Now you need to grow in this new relationship with God. You need a guide book that will help you understand how amazing God is and can teach you how to live a life that will please Him. God has given us the Holy Bible, which teaches us about God and helps us live a God pleasing life. May I encourage you to start reading the Bible today?
